Amish White Bread




This is such a great sweet tasting bread. It is the first time I have ever baked bread without a bread machine. I got rid of the bread machine,the bread never tasted good. This is almost gone as I type this. I used extra-virgin olive oil and I only made one loaf because bread baking is usually a disaster, well not today. I plan on making this again and again.

  1. When I first used my bread machine (a gift from my mother-in-law), I was disappointed with the result that I did not use it for a long time after that...until I tried one recipe that I started in the BM then baked in the conventional oven.

    Now it has been my preferred method, only because it is less messy. I do use my mixer and knead from time to time (kneading can be therapeutic as well)!

    So don't get rid of that BM!
